Hello

I have a 2013 that I want to set up for mx.

I have read a lot on here but can only find info on the 04/05 and 06 /09 models.

I want to buy a-arms / shocks but I am worried I may get the wrong ones to match my spindles/hubs.

Can someone maybe shed some light on this for me? Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

Suspension wise anything for an 06+ bike will bolt right up to yours. Only real change that may affect you on buying parts in the Camshaft changed on the ER in 2008. Other than that everything is the same

I would like to put JB long travle a-arms with the PEP PB1 front shocks.

I do not have enough cash to do a complete rear end right now.

If I changed just the front, would my bike be very imbalanced?

Many ppl do just the front. Your bike will still ride fine that way but don't spare on the rear forever. You will never get the fullest potential out of your front until you do a rear. Now with that being said if its gonna be a while before you do a full rear you can have a shock builder revalve your stock rear until you can buy a long travel shock and linkage

actually i think doing the back first is best.

While I agree with doing the back first noone ever goes that route and there are reasons why. It's an mx quad so you want it at 50 inches wide. So when you do the rear your gonna buy an axle which is all normal. Now going to the front there is only one right way to get 50 inches up ftnt and that's a arms. You can't buy long travel and keep stock shocks and if your goin long travel you will be buying a arms twice. If you flip your wheels or run spacers it will handle like crap. So I guess what I'm sayin is at mx width you can easily get by with a stock rear shock but its not easy to get by with stock front shocks at 50 inches

I did Put an axle and mx tires and rims on it already.

Believe it or not I am pretty impresed with the stock rear suspention on this bike.

What wories me is that if I go with a PEP zero preload setup up front it will throw out my ride hight and make it ride crapy.

Is there a link that I can buy for the stock swing arm that would let me run a long travle PEP ZPL shock?

You can buy a long travel link for a stock swingarm....As for what one you need for the PEP i cant answer that since i have no experience with PEP but i run a long travel rear elka linkage and elka shock on a stock swingarm
