I'm looking for a pair of aftermarket foot pegs, that will fit with stock heel guards, on my 08 400ex. I would really appreciate any feedback. :)

Good luck with that. Why not get pegs that have metal heelguards with them?

I bought some White Brothers extensions on eBay and installed on my 12' with the factory heel guards

I like the stock guards, and I rather use my money elsewhere on the quad.

Anyone knows anything about the IMS Roll footpegs and if they'll fit the stock heelguards on a 08, with modifying or without. A link for for where I can purchase them would be great.

The IMS pegs won't fit the stock heelguards. I personally run them with the IMS heelguards and nerfs, Duncan Racing carries the pegs as well as Roll Design themself. They'll run anywhere from $220 to $240 for a pair.

precisely!!! id run no nerfs and only heel guards any day of the century before id run no heel guards...

he's never raced a race....when you get past the 1 hr 30 min mark, sometimes you have no control over what your legs and feet do and you need those heel guards!!! im not picking on ya, but from a safety standpoint, theres a reason why they put heel guards on a stock quad and not nerfs.

Peg extensions work pretty well..

I got a set on my 450r when I bought it and then used them on my 400ex until I got nerfs and now they are on my 660 scraptor. (coming off soon though as I picked up nerfs for it as well.. BUT they are very aggressive and worth it for sure. My feet never come off the pegs with them.. stock pegs just don't feel right anymore, nothing to really grab your boot.

After going to pro peg nerfs, I'll never go back. SOOOOOO much more grip and SOOO much more control and comfort over the quad. Espiecally cause i have been feet (size 13).

Same boot size lol, good pegs are CRUCIAL to being able to really dip some body language into it.

Those bars Ben linked are priced pretty reasonable. I'd go that route if you want to buy a full setup down the road.

Or for $30 white brothers has the peg extensions on e-bay (I didn't even know who made them, lol) and upgrade to nerfs made to work stock heel guards later..

That poker run was hours longer than a race i was pretty worn out and started to get sloppy. ive never had my boot slip back, only forward. i sharpen my pegs and run fox comp 5 offroad boots that have a pretty sick sole so its hard to slip off anything with them

im sorry, poker runs are not races no matter how bad you want them to be. no matter how hard you ride. no matter how good you are. ive been on a million and a half poker runs. ive road them on a 400, a 450, a scramber 500, a foreman 450...they just arent a race.

racing is a differnnt animal

i know this but you still get worn out. closestthing to a race ive ran is a harescramble but nonethe less you still get wore out and sloppy. my feet always stay planted its what im used to. though i would never ever run no heelguards wearing shoes or worksboots. i love my riding boots and im not really concerned

Why do they not fit? Too far rearwards? I can always cut the plastic that goes around the foot peg.

The best things to get for the price are alba pro elite nerf bars with heel guards I think I paid 200 and that was after shipping http://www.teamalbaracing.com/home.php?cat=379

The IMS pegs are too wide and they sit higher up, so I don't think the mounting holes will line up right.
