Here's my question, if you are running a 19/34 combination, what are or any advantages or draw backs of running a 18/32 combination. Final drive is very close to each other(1.79-1.78).

we run 18-32 and have ran 17-28/30
seems like more chain issues with the 17 combo's
18-32 has ran best for us as well as more ground clearance

My theory on this is: It's much easier for the motor to turn a smaller sprocket than it is to turn a large sprocket. So, the smaller you can go in the front and keep the same ratio the less the engine has to work...

Bigger front sproket the better.... More leverage and the wider arc you can do the longer your chain will last
