Im rebuilding my engine after 6-7 hard years of riding and im finally replacing the stock (2001) timing chain. I bought the '02 crf450 chain since that's what everyone uses and recommends. My only problem is the slack it has side to side on the sprocket. Obviously no one has had a problem with it or it would be posted. Im just trying to remove all doubt from my mind that it works fine with no issues. Thanks guys.

Worked for eons on my 400. Finally gave up after like 5+ years of hard riding. At that point it was kinking, but then again my dowel pins that held the cam in were giving out.

it's good to check the tensioner too when you're replacing the cam chain. Sometimes a bad tensioner can cause the chain to go bad. Also check your cam chain guides, the black plastic things that hold the chain on both sides. Normally a bad chain will tear these guides up pretty good.
