Ill be heading to utah for a week of riding at coral pink sand dunes and have a couple questions for anyone who has been there or in the area...

1) a 400ex with the mods in my sig, jetted for roughly 900-1000ft elevation. What would be a good starting point to rejet when i get out there? It is about 6,000 ft at the dunes.

2) I've heard some say that paddles are necessary unless you'll be doing the big hill climbs and sand drags. and others say paddles are a necessity for dunes. Dont want to spend the money on paddles if ill only use them once. Opinions?

Jet down, higher elevation. Tough to figure, but id say bring some jets along.

Yeah, thats what i figured. All i have that is lower is a 155 main and the stock 148 main. I was thinking running the 148. Think it'll be too lean?

Its hard to say honestly, always better to be richer than lean. before you go I would buy a few different sizes in increments of 5.

You will probably be just fine with the jets that are in it.
