Got the exhaust cut up and tacked back together tonight. I also made the exhaust mount and got it tacked on tge subframe

Well guys I have been really busy building this quad. Sorry for not really saying much and just posting pics. This is my first 250 mod build and I hope that everyone likes it. I know there is some stiff competition out there with Walsh, Six5design, JB and all the other great companies and guys out there building race quads. I myself am not a company at all I only do this as a hobby and still work a fulltime job.I am trying to cover all my bases with this and make it as trick as I can. I've done a few things that I haven't seen yet on one of these little quads. Well guys im off to work and gonna try to post more pics tonight as I get more stuff done on tbe quad.

The exhaust repair was nothing big just machined a new bracket and shortened the can. I went ahead and repacked it and put new bolts in it. I only had one bolt hole to repair. Now seth can have is boy back on the track. One day turn around. Lol

Got the head stay built today. Now I just gotta mount the radiator and finish welding the gusset kit and exhaust. Down to just a few days before powder coat

Got the lower radiator mounts done tonight and also weled up tthe exhaust and machined the midpipe bracket. I will be done with the fab work tomorrow and then off to powder coat

Hope its not too late....Your going to want to gusset the frame at the bend in the upper frame area near where the subframe mounts. Honda frames are famous for cracking there....

Nope not too late. I havnt put the gusset kit in yet. I am doing it this weekend and then powder on monday. I am done with everything except the electronics mounts and the six5design russet kit.

Seth is suppose to pick it up on july 4th. Its going to powder monday I just gotta put the skid plate mounts on.

I was wondering how you would extend the kicker. I helped a friend mock up a 250 build the other day, and that was one of the last problems we were trying to figure out.....Thanks that idea helped him a lot!!!!!! Great looking bike, you sir are good at your hobby!!

Im suppose to pick up the rest of the powder coated parts today. It wont be much longer now. I got to modify the rear fender mounts by the heal guards they dont even come close to working. That shpuld be tge last of my fab work on this one. Im getting anxious myself to see it finished.

laeger400....You need to just find a 450R frame and get it ready for the next guy...Make it a quick turn around. The market for this machine is only going to go up... Honda is not making the 300ex anymore (and they suck anyhow) AND the AMA-ATVA is slowly making the move to make one school boy class (between mini's and 450's) with these 250/300cc machines... I forsee the other organizations following that lead...less classes..
I say, He who builds these for the least money will make bank.... Most "builders" will be over charging as usual...

Your work is awesome! IF Logan had more time before he can go to a 450...you'd be my guy.

It was a long road but tge actual build time once I got everything was quick. I started on may 27 and seth picked it up today. Not bad for fab and assemble. I also have a full time job this just a hobby

All of us with Cobra chassis's need to chime in here and give Jerry some ideas, I like the removable subframe but needs to be designed to hold the rear plastic and seat better than stock set-up(I know it wouldn't take much). If I didn't have so much OT since I'm close, mine would be over there getting a look at........ I think I'm off the 9th and 10th maybe I can swing by with one of the cobras and get some ideas flowing..

First race this weekend and came away with a 7th overall at Loretta Lynns. The quad is working very well and the intake and airbox was a home run. The 2nd moto was a muddy mess and it was the only quad that sounded like it was on a dry track.
