looking for the best performance possible while staying around 96DB. besides the fmf q series is there anything better for the 400?

Most slip ons with a quiet core insert will be around 96 dbs. Nothing wrong with the FMF, it will be around 93-94 db's.

I have heard nothing but good things about it over the years. It is one of the quieter aftermarket pipes.

i have the lexx on my 400, with the spark arrester and quiet core it is only just a touch louder than stock, but sure can make some noise with a race core. and cant beat the price...

how was the power increase? i know 400exs dont gain a whole lot from just a pipe compared to some other quads

rejetted it and felt a little low end torque gain and some more pull in mid range... not really any noticeable gain top end. but sure does sound sweeter.. :)
