300EX Clutch Acting Up

The '96 300EX clutch is starting to act up. From what I can tell, it doesn't slip. However, it sort of fails to disengage completely. When you release it, it waits till the very end of the pull to completely engage and I'm still running the least amount of free play. Is this a sign that the fibers are getting thinner, or is it a grooved clutch basket? I'm the original owner so the clutch has not been replaced before.... it's still on the original chain and sprockets! Thanks!

have u tried messin with the clutch thing on the side of it? the one where you can screw it in and out? mine did that and i just plyed around with the screw now its all better.

I forgot about the adjustment down on the motor. :confused: Maybe that'll help. Thanks.

mine used to do that...adjust it on the motor
