Hey Jerry great work!!.....So I guess the CRF250R motor is much taller than the 450.....that's why the carb area in the frame has to be modded ? Same deal if you want to put a TRX250R motor in the 450R chassis.....:(

The Crf250 is shorter and sets more to the left. Putting a 250r engine in would be similar I would think.

Im gonna try to have the fab work done by the end of this week and off to powder coat. Then reassemble and then off to the track.

Nice job! We just had our trx450/crf250 hybrid out at its first race last nice. It worked beautifully. Would you mind sharing which intake you used(yr) we still have a flutter in the mid range when holding the throttle at constant speed. Also looking for a longer shift lever if you could recommend something..nice working on the fab stuff! Thanks, brian

I used an. 04-05 yfz intake boot. As for the shifter I havnt
Got that far yet. Lol this is my first one.

Got the exhaust cut up and tacked together tonight and made the exhaust mount for the subframe.

I got the kicker extension made tonight and then I had a rush repair job for a crf150 mod exhaust so I knocked it out as well. I will post a few pics of it. It was nothing special just shortened the can and machined a new mount and repacked it for him.

Got the exhaust welded up and machined tbe midpipe bracket. I also got the lower radiator moints done. I will be done with the rest of the fab work tomorrow and then off to powder coat.

This thing is going together like a race quad should nice and easy. I think the owner will actually enjoy the time he has to wrench on this thing. Its really amazing how hard and how much time it takes to make things simple.

Im suppose to pick up the rest of the powder coated parts today. It wont be long now ive gotta modify the rear fender mounts by the heal guard's and that should be the end of my fab work on this one. I an getting anxious myself to see this thing on the ground and finished.

Yes they are really nice but I gotta modify the fender mounts because of the heal guard's. I think for that much money you shouldnt have to modify anything. Its ok I will make it look factory. Lol

I rode with Tyler last night, me on my CRf hybrid, him on the 250 mod. I think the 250 mod is fast. A good rider can run with most stock 450s, a fully modded 250 with an advanced rider could definitely run A times at least if not faster depending on the rider, IMO. Very impressed. He started launching the finish line last night......training for 2014.
