I got offered a trade for a truck I'm selling, so I was wondering what a mostly stock 2005 400ex is selling for, all its got is maybe tires and a pipe.

$1,000-$1,500 if that's all it has done to it. Maybe $2,000 if it was super clean, but even that is a stretch.

If its in good shape $2000, maybe $2500 if its perfect. You can get 450's for $2500 nowadays

Does yours go 87 mph? If so, it may be worth $3,200 like this one...

That's ridiculous, the **** they'll put to try and sell their quad. I geared my 450 all the way up the tallest gearing I could get with 20" tires and it would barely go 80, let alone 87. It only has a pipe and filter so it didn't even have the power to turn that gearing in the higher RPMs. A 400 couldn't even dream of that kinda speed in stock form.

My 400ex with: 416 10.8:1 piston, port work, hot cam stg 2, pipe, no airbox lid, and geared as high as I could get it, it would go 75 on a gps. Took like a mile straight away on a brand new unopened road.

87mph hahaha... right

These things hit about 60mph at most in a 1/4 drag.
