what are the details on the top end? how many hours on it? looks like a Pro-X 310?? what carb, jetting, and fuel ratio you running? hopefully youll back up and running soon!

Cant remember the jetting, not lean at all, but its a Esr 330, Sunoco 110 at 36:1 honda hp2 oil, has just short of 5 hours on this piston. I guess the sleeve skirt somehow broke on the intake side, tried to send it out of the exhaust, and the rest was history.

looks like it got hot, the rings are melted in

Do you remember the piston to bore clearance, how tight the clearance was, because it needs to be tight on a 330 bolt on cylinder.
What size piston did you use for the new bore & fit. You can only go 2 sizes larger on the bolt on cylinder.

Your in store for a complete rebuild, & you'll be mighty lucky if some of the broken off stuff, cylinder skirt & piston didnt bust those cases.

Cant remember the size, i think it was the first bore. The rings had gone bad on the last piston so it was only a hone and new piston. Luckily i didn't sell a motor i have here so if the cases are done i can use those.

She did get hot on me a while ago, but got that issue fixed, been good lately.

This was the 3rd motor i've blown in 2 months, having a bad streak lately. 2 450r motors and now this one.

Thinking of what to do net. Got a stock cylinder sitting here. Should i punch that one out and port it, or redo this Esr?

Well, it would cost as much to fix the cylinder you have, as it would cost for a whole new top end kit.
Only way you can come out to the good when sleeving a cylinder, is if you can do all the work yourself & not have to pay to have it done.

Your looking just about as much with the OEM cylinder, depending on the amount charged for the port job. Would be lucky if you could keep the OEM cost under $400.00, but probably run higher than that.

Piston to cylinder bore clearance is real important, get it to big & the piston flops around until the skirts break off, which looks like what happened in your case.
