just wonder if anyone had any pics of there 250x/300ex with R plastic. I put R plastic on my 250x, but it is a laegers frame so it was a very easy process.

looks to me like its a 250R frame/chassis with a 300ex motor.

i believe Zrider is crrect. looks like a R frame, but its not a 400EX frame

honda250xrider

it is a honda 250x engine in there, and i have heard of people using the 250r frame with a honda 250x motor

TeamC&GRacer

yeap it's a 250r chassie and fenders with a 300ex motor.I saw the thread that 4-wheeler was in and dude said it was a 300ex motor

Str8Wicked

All I know is that the frame is square, not round so it's eithier an R frame or 300......

honda250xrider
03-17-2003, 11:42 AM
just to let everyone know this is not a 300ex motor it is a 250x motor, there is no battery or eletric start componets on it. ;)

Butters
03-17-2003, 11:59 AM
yeah it has to be a 250x motor cause there isn't reverse or electric start motor.

Yeha deff an R Frame sicne 300Exs and 400Exs don;t have Square Frame tubes. and it not a 400Ex motor. Look at the cases and the exhaust Port.

Deff a 250X...

LMAO wow this thread really lets us know who knows what they are talkin about

slates74
03-17-2003, 01:22 PM
400ex=round tube frame

250r=square tube frame unless its an aftermarket frame

250x/300ex= same deal as the R square tube frame unless its aftermarket

400ex=Dual Exhaust Ports

250x/300ex=Single Exhaust Port
------------------------------------------
So its a 250x motor in a 250r or 250x/300ex frame with 250r plastics.

;) had to clear that up

My personal guess 250x motor in a 250r frame

250rmike

ok people its a 250r chassis with a 250x in it with new welds. a r frame is square tubed and bigger thatn the 300ex the 400ex has round tubing 2 exhaust ports and the motor is bigger. a 250x has reverse just like a 300ex that bike has a worked motor and the reverse taken off. any questions people please ask andtry to proove that it is something different. 250x rider myself and the z400 guy are correct please dont argue. im out

its a 250x motor in a 250r frame with 250r plastics...

who in their right mind would take a 250r motor out to put a 250x motor in :huh

yeah its deff. a 250x in a R frame. very trick. I have seen several RX convertions.

03-19-2003, 05:20 AM
i thought it was a 400ex cuz the way the nerfs bolt up and it had no reverse. But i didn't look at the exhaust.

WildCatRacer

its a good setup for racing the "air cooled" class in the nationals. A local D23 racer has a R with a blaster motor. It was in atv sport awhile back "super blaster". he went to his first national last year and finish 2nd in the air cooled.

the front motor mount and the length peg position from the swingarm bolt gives it away, 250r chassis with a 250x motor

....i vote we delete this thread and start over......
i really wanna see more "300/250x "STOCK FRAMED" quads with 250r/400ex plastic on em'.

acctually i wanna see close up pics of the new braketts that need to be made.
a lot of people put on their dork glasses' for this thread.

wha tmodifications have to be made? like will the back fenders match up with the stock mo unting spots, and the rear mount up? i have maier race front plastic now, and maier rear plastic. I want 250r plastic though, its sick.

that looks like a 250r frame with 250x motor but it is not a 400ex there is no oil tank for 1 and there is not two pipes. it could be a 250x with 250r fenders ?

sweetass300ex
05-31-2003, 06:11 AM
its a 250x frame because i own one and it is a 250x 1987 and it has square tubing
and it has no starter motor

250rmike
05-31-2003, 07:20 AM
its already been astablished plenty of times its a r with a x motor in it. for the air cooled class weighs alittle more but way better geometry

How about you read the thread before you post? Would that be a good idea? Huh? Would it?

That is a 250R Frame, but that engine might be a 350X engine, alot of people would put those engines in R Frames, but if its not that then its deffinatly a 250X engine, but my guess is its a 350X engine

Live2Ride300
05-31-2003, 11:49 AM
Wait maybe im leaning more towards the 250X engine because from the picture I can only see one exaust port, the 350X has two.

honda250xrider
05-31-2003, 12:11 PM
one last time like every one has stated before its a honda 250x engine in a 250r's frame and thats that, plenty ways to tell that, and no its not a 350x engine, the only 350x engines i have seen were black........ with 2 exhaust ports i may be wrong on the black engine but i have only seen them black....
