400ex or 250r a-arms on your 250X or 300EX

I know a lot of people have done this, but I was wondering if anyone has used long travel a-arms so you can do away wiith the lowering kit or relocating the mounts. I put 400ex +1 on my 300ex, but I think if I were to do it again I would use +2 or +3 long travels.

i was wondering this too....if you used lt arms and a bracket you could even get true long travel on a 250x or 300ex.....though it would quite possibly be oversuspended then.....

I think this would be the hot setup. you can do away with the lowering kit so the shock mounts would be real strong. the shock angle would change a little but I dont think it would be bad. so if you plan on buying after market arms for this convertion like I did, I would spend the extra money for long travel arms.
