A Tri-State swap meet??

Whether it's big or small I thought it would be an awesome idea to have a 250r (or maybe "Old school" 2-stroke quad") Tri-State swap meet where we can all meet up and bring our Junk and Gold to sell, Trade, show off.

Depending on how many people we can gather -

Small - we all meet up in a Parking lot somewhere (maybe a shop, Bike dealer, etc.)

Big - We pay to have a space at a race event or Track w/ booths etc.

"Tri-State" to me means mainly PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD. I figured somewhere in Central NJ is a solid meeting point. I'm thinking late may on a Sat.??

Chime in if you would be up for this, give feed back and ideas! I (we) can make a new thread with final details when everything's decided.

Nice, keep it coming guys.. I guess let this thread simmer for a week or two to gather more guys?

Even if it's only like 4-5 of us I'd be down.. I have a lot of new oem bolts, nuts, washer, seals, plus 2 swing arms, DWT wheels, pipes, rad, maybe stock oem un-cut plastics. etc. etc. etc

Unfortunately I don't.. (although I have them used I think) What I have new is mostly washers, nuts, seals, tail light brackets w/ rubbers, etc.

You restoring or just need them?

A lot of Jersey guys, so Jersey meet up? Anyone more Central NJ that knows a shop that would allow a meet up? Even better a shop that may have some stock of the parts we like?

You restoring or just need them? not an OEM restore but a Laeger frame up build with some New OEM and rest is new aftermarket... but I do not like the aftermarket alternative for the linkage bolts... if I had enough oem used bolts to make a re zinc worth it I would go that route ..but Im very low on used bolts right now

Any updates?

It doesn't really need to be an all day event w/ tables set up and all.. Just a simple "Trunk" sale but hopefully with a good 10-20 guys swapping/selling parts.

Really don't want this idea to die out, so far we got 5 guys saying their interested within this thread (I know of 1 other so 6)..

If your reading this thread and interested just simply reply with "I'm in" so we can get a solid count..

I could care less if it's only 3 guys, I'd still meet up for an hour to do some trades, buying, and selling without being embarrassed at the turn out.

I think a Saturday towards the end of May would be best. Central Jersey I think is a fair meeting spot and there's a shop called "Extreme Machines" near exit 8 off the tunrpike/95 I could call to see if they would allow. Their site - http://www.xtrememachines.us/map_hours.asp

My boy says he will hold it at his shop in Pompton plains nj on a Sunday. What Sunday works good for everyone. Or do we wanna try to set it up soon or set it up for a Sunday in June to give people some time we r open for dates. We can do it Sunday the 12th or any Sunday in June. Let me kno what u think

Good stuff, I do think it may be further then a lot of guys in S. Jersey want to go, plus I know 1 guy would be coming from MD.. It would be about 1 1/2 hour drive for me but I'll do it if we can't get another location or if everyone agrees to this spot.

Anyone else thoughts?

I haven't forgotten about this, the few places I called (Shops / dealers) are booked for this month with their own events or the guy I needed to speak with wasn't in that day.. Been Busy with work so haven't had time to focus.

If anyone has any ideas of a spot or knows someone don't be shy!
