Sometimes when I'm riding hard, in the upper part of 3rd or 4th or 5th my quad will just bog, after I hit a big bump or jump, or even if I'm just hard on the throttle. I have to let it idle before I can rev it without it bogging. Does anyone else have this problem? Someone explain it to me!

that happened to me before, several times on this one trail behind the house where there was a sharp bump, every time i hit that one spot it was like my motor would cut out for a split second.

Ya I'm thinking its the spark plug cord or something in the carb, do you still have this problem?

Check the spark plug/boot to make sure they are on. Then check the float in the carb to make sure it has that little cage in the carb and the floats good.

Could be a possible jetting issue. Whats your mods, elevation and jetting specs to start out with.

It's got a J.E. 426 11:1 with a slip on and k&n filter 42 pilot and I think a 162 main but I'm not 100% sure, I don't know the elevation but I'm in Wisconsin

Thats a tad bit lean imho, course elevation might have a bit to do with it. was at about 175 with a similar setup. But I am at sea level.

Def a lean problem and that's causing your studdering. I have a 407 11:1 and hot cam with a 170 main and 42 pilot.

I'm at 907 feet above sea level where I normally ride. Has anyone ever tried the sigma jet kit?

Jet kits are something we frown upon here. Your much better served just buying individual jets from your dealer or online at www.jetsrus.com

you need approx a 170-175 main. I would also take the time and clean the entire carb up when you change the jet, including the accelerator pump.
