Finaly installed my new axle and bearing carrier and noticed the rotor hub sealing surface is completely shot. I checked for new oem but looks like i'm too late for that. Do I check ebay for a used one or will the 450R interchange? What are my options?

Unfortunately HONDA changed the Splines between the 400EX & 450R....It would have been a direct swap if they hadn't!!!

You can look at the AFTERMARKET for a Nice aluminum rotor hub and nut...LSR, Dura-blue, RPM, RAD mfg.....there's lots to choose from

look up 250R Anit-Fade

Rotor hub splines are exactly the same. The OEM nuts and threaded, splined collar are the same. The difference is the 450R is a three bolt disc, the 250R is four.

So the 450r would work as long as I used the 450 rotor?

That's good to know!!! I see the Part#'s are the same for the nuts'...but the threaded section was different so i assumed it was because of the splines....the 400ex & 450R part# is 43127-HA2-000 and the 250R is 43127-HB9-000

Thanks for the clarification.... :)

I did the first rear brake conversion posted on here about 8 years ago, and you can see I used the 450R disc hub and disc on my 250R axle, along with the 250R threaded collar and nuts.
