Whats the difference between ATVA and AMA? I know AMA years ago when I was a member was more tuned towards motorcycles...but now I'm thinking they are both similar. My racing event says needs to be a member of one or the other.....so any pros/cons of one vs the other?

Thank you

The ATVA is more geared towards ATV's and if u ride them that's what I would go for. The only differance is the magazine one is a offroad one and the other is for the street. There are 2 different kinds of members with each regular and competition the latter one u will need.

The ATVA IS the AMA - just a branch of the AMA (the red-headed toothless step child branch).

what they said but from what i have heard they have become a shady organization. IF you have to get a membership get the ama version you get a lot more benefits and it works the same

we have both.
you can use either card for an ATVA event, but can only use the AMA card if your entering an AMA event.
sad part about that is.....both cards have the same membership number.

if your budget is tight, get the AMA card and your options from there are endless.
