I put in some good wrench time today, installed new Houser +2 Stem and clamps, New Pro taper fat bars and I cleaned up my bars a lil. I installed a new starter button and I love it! First time I start the ol 400 since September and she cranked right over. Here's some pics of what I did (sorry for bad quality). Share what you did today!

Looks good man! I worked on fabricating an air box for my RX hybrid which I just updated in my build thread. Let me know if you notice any difference in bump steer with the Houser stem which is supposed to have slightly different geometry for the tie rod mounts.

Tomorrow my hybrid gets new bars and grips and I am replacing the anti-vibe cones in the Laeger steering stem. The 400EX is in waiting until I get parts back.

Thanks man! I'll let you know about the bumpsteer after I do a little grinding to my tie rods :ermm:. But I've been falling your thread and everything seems to be coming along great. Can't wait to see the outcome

I didn't really "work" on anything. Finally got my laptop back up and running and put in another 8 hours in hell... I mean work. Let us know if you like the +2, I have the same stem in a +1 with CR double high bend bars and I'm 5' 10" an it's perfect for trail riding.

I love the new stem. Rode around a little yesterday. I have the atv mid pro taper bars.. Those and the stem with the clamps are still a little short for me (I'm 6'3) but I couldn't find +3 so whatever

lol Cheater sounds like you've been having some trouble! and Dasher you have to cut and splice the wires together. Not difficult, just make sure you pay attention to what is what.. lol

Checked valve clearances and bumped the timing back to 4 degrees advanced. Also fattened up the pilot jet, removed the 65 and went to a 70. Much happier with the idle quality, tuneability, and throttle response with the 70. Thirsty machine.
