Alright all you PA peeps, this place is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!:devil I think the place is awesome from what Ive seen of it. 11000 acres of riding!! ATV HEAVEN! Unfortunatly, I have not ridden it yet:( But, once we get quads we will. If any of you people have pics of some Tower City action, post it! Show these people some Pennsylvania Atv action!

I thought there was an EXRIDERs ride this weekend at Tower City? We are defiently going with 7-8 guys. I haven't been there since the weekend they shut it down in 97. I'm looking forward to a good weekend. See you on the trails.

I was there with Derno and MArlin. It was very muddy and lots of snow on the ground still so didn't get to explore much. But a big coal pit with nice hillclimbs 10 minutes from the parking area was sweet. I joined up so anyone who wants to ride just PM me or make a post and I'll try and make plans.

OUCH, ***** tits! hehe. Yeah, can't wait to get back there when the weather is better and the mud is dry, i can imagine the dust is bad but i just where one of those cheap face masks.
Have you been to Lacey, nj400ex, do you think Tower is bigger than that place. I know that from my old parking spot in Lacey to the one big pit and back was 11.5 miles, my brother had a Honda 650xl. Kinda funny when he sneaked up on me on the powerline road and beeped his horn at me, scared the heck out of me when you dont expect that. And that pit was about halfway across going East to West. But if you keep going on the powerline road there is another dirt road that i think heads SOuth that seems to go on forever till you hit pavement, but it starts again on the other side. Pretty big place. But, cant wait to ride and explore at Tower without having to worry about the cops.

it is soooo muddy out there, and its not regular mud, its like, coal mud, its all black and i got it all over my dads interior:mad: he got a little peeved. but once it dries up we'll have quads soo WOOHOO!:D

It's been pretty nice this week. Hopefully it won't rain and the trails will dry out. Besides, a little mud never hurt anyone unless it's that black coal mud. That crap is nasty.

We really have a great time there at Tower City. Yeah, it can get a bit dusty and muddy at times, but definetly worth coming out to meet some great people and trails.

Membership is $200 for the year. $30 day pass with member rider.

For those that have not been there, it is not too far from Rausch Creek in Tremont off of route 81. There are some coal areas that includes some challenging hills. Some trails are very rocky, but the majority are dirt trails with some rocks. Alot of cliffs and sink holes to be cautious of.

I too have a membership, so if you are interrested in going, do not hesitate PM'ing me!:) There are a couple of members of Tower City that I have met last year, and if your are able to hook up with Dave (2-R's), Rich (NJ400ex), or Ron Derno (Derno24), they know the area very well and are excellent company to be around.:)

They have areas where you can have a "site" established. Some members bring in there campers (Dave, 2-R's) or mini homes built to sleep and entertain in year round!:cool: Hint hint Rich!:D

Anyway, there are a few riders from Exriders.com that go there, and we usually have a good trail ride. I have not met all of the Exriders.com riders that go, but I hope that will change soon!

Some riders bring pieces of junk machines that we spend alot of time maintenancing... But I guess it is all part of the fun!:blah

As for pictures... I dought they will do justice of this place. This place is literally huge!:cool: Literally miles of trails. A place where the average rider can spend more than couple of days riding without hitting the same trail!:cool:

BTW Danny... Rumor has it that Tower City will not allow a Cannondale with an exhaust higher than 90 decibles!!:eek: :D Just kidding... And good riding with you, even though it was not for that long of a ride.

Depends on where exactly you are, but you would probably hop on route 80 West till it hits 81 South in PA.It's near where 78 and 81 meet in PA. I would say you should be able to get there around 1.5 hours, but you may be closer.

if you go up the main road straight in front of the office to the main parking lot and hang a left right before it there is a road that leads to one of the trail heads. I am halfway down that road road on the right about 3 camspsites before the stop sign(the road goes right there)

my site is 1770, we have a white/orange camper and a ghetto shack. big F250 ford and prob a few other trucks

Slight change in plans. It appears that Lenny and 2r's are going to rausch. Iknow you just spent some money on tower, but I was thinking of joining them. Apparently Lenny wants to try the cross country course out. We think this is the same course they will be using on the GNCC on May 5th. Let me know what you want to do. I think rausch is discounted for tower city members.

Hey guys. Nice ride today, even if we had some technical difficulties. Hey Derno, the more i ride the Cannibal the more i like it. That was my third time on it and it feels more at home, i would have a tough time riding other newer quads now because like Dave said, these things just feel right. Dave, that R was VERY SWEET. I need to put in some SOuth Jersey rides to get my but in gear for some tough whoops. Some of those trails at Tower are tricky but i just need to to get used to the rocks and roots and trees. ANybody else from NJ, come up and ride with us! It's worth the 2.5 hour drive to not have to worry about the cops, and meet some cool guys. I guess i have to worry about where to put my sticker though. So we only saw a small part of the place? Them this place is pretty big. Well gotta go meet my girl now. Will try and hit Sarco tomorrow, Good luck tomorrow Derno. MArlin! How was Hatfield? Later Guys.

Hey I got a whole year out of those stk fronts and 4 or 5 trips to TCTRI so I cant complain, and thats a lot better than the stk rears.

Have to tell you guys that I didnt get any flats when I was running those low pressures you all were bustin me about.

It did seem to be a day for little problems and I have to take the blame for the loose skid but you cant help the flat tires up there especially when you cant see where your going :)

Now hows that big bad c-dale running mr Ron (AKA biatch titts) hope you took the advise of dave and me and richened that suka up a little, and I bet that solves all the poroblems you are trying to complicate with all that computerized crapola.

I went up the one coal hill once, it was slippery and the back end wasn't sure which way it wanted to go, halfway up i caught traction and did a little wheelie. It was slick enough so i was happy i got up once. Of course it got nice and the fog cleared as soon as we were leaving.

By the way Lenny I think we may have a solution. It is soo simple it just might work. Also just so everyone can hear I purposely was trying to hammer the Kenda's and they were laughing at me. I definitely liked the fronts, but the rears I need more seat time on. I am so used to holeshots that I wasn't used to the bite of the Klaw's in the corners. Straight away has much better traction.

I have to agree with yz I didn't have my goggles on for the last hour of riding. It wasn't the dirt, but the fog.

I wasn't too worried about him getting lost, but a few riders in the past have managed to get theirselves crashed down in the deep ravines longside some of trails .:( if a lot more time would have past we surely would have needed to look in a few ravines ;)

Looks like crappy weather out again, Tower is probably one big mud pit. Probably going to do some indoor stuff this weekend, and will prep for the next Tower ride and make sure i don't have anything on backwards. It would suck to stall halfway up one of those hills.:eek:

I am all the way up the main road, make a left right before the main parking lot. the road/trail leads you to the top of the dirt hill with all the trees that brings you down to the small silt pit.

You got the right location for our parking spot. 2-r's has a trailer further out that way though. I am not sure how much I will be able to cover this weekend. I will be bringing the wife to help her learn how to ride a little better. So this weekend I may be stuck training and puttering around the trails.

I have nothing, but good things to say about my Kenda's. The Klaw's were really cheap, about $40 a tire. The durability is good too. I went out of my way to try to flatten them and they worked great. If money were no object I would have picked up the Razor 2's, but my budget is a little tight right now.

I think we drove by you the other week. We had 2 cannondales in our group. They are the quads that make wierd noises.
