Alright, me and my dad are new at this, and hes gonna get a 400ex, and im gonna get a 250ex, even though im 5'11, and we really cant find good used 400's anywhere in the PA-NJ area. My dad says hes probably going to buy mine new, because you cant find a used 250 anywhere, but hes looking for a 400ex used. If any of you guys know good deals on 400's are, please contact me, it will save us a lot of time and hassle.:D

if your 5'11 do not go with the 250 you will be so cramped, for used 400's look on ebay, cycle trader, etc and check with the dealer etc but have fun once you get your 400 or whatever you end up getting

I donno, i sat on the 250ex b4 and it was pretty good, i mean, i wanted to 300ex, cuz i see the 250ex as slow, but im new so what are your opinions on that?

You could cheak the For Sale section on this site. You could also put up a want ad.

dont be discuraged by a manual clutch. you will catch on to it in no time. dont go with a 250ex. go with the 300

Ive ridden my friends 400ex b4 and the clutch wasnt too hard, thats why i was thinking about getting the 300ex, but my brother (whos 11) needs a hand me down bike, and a 300ex for a 12 year old is not a good thing (since hes gonna ride next year) so im thinking the 250ex will be good for the time being until next year. What are your opinions on that idea?

Im thinking of ridding the 250 until my bro is big enough to ride it, then ill look into buying a 300ex

i startted out on a 250ex and then a year later got a 400ex, 300's are a waste imp cause 250 are more fun for a beginner and 400ex's dont need to be replaced, read ur private messages...:blah

yeah lrd has a ponit because the 300ex is just as big as the 250ex is and the power isn't all that more and if you have a 400ex around they house you can just start out on that as soon as you bro starts riding the 250ex :)

yea, but my dads not interested in power, hes probably gonna stick with that until it breaks down (likely never), unlike me, i have a "need for speed", and maybe ill think about getting a used 400ex once i hand down my 250:D

Hey everyone, i had a little chat with my dad: I will get a 250ex to start with, and once my bro gets old enough for the 250ex, i get my dads 400ex and he'll buy something else, probably a scrambler 500, or maybe that "new quad" honda is claiming to come out with to keep it alive in the industry. Anyways, thanks for all of your help. Now alls i need is good deals on trailers, if you guys could help me out:devil thanks:D
