Been a while fellas. Finally got my dasa on this weekend. Pops real bad on decel. A few.friends said air screw. I always thought that was pilot from tuning my 426. Main and needle are dead.nuts. one size main bigger and it sputters.. so, i need to buy pilots or mess with the air.screw? Thanks.

What's your main jet at and what does your plug look like? Do you run an airbox lid, no lid, or HRC lid? I would try a 185 main if you don't run a lid/ HRC lid.

Popping on decal is usually the fuel screw, but could also mean you need to bump up the pilot. How far out is the fuel screw now? Turn it out a 1/4 turn or so at a time and the popping should stop. If you get to more then three full turns out, then you should up the pilot jet.

Main is fine. Just pops on decel. But since you asked, unifilter and no lid.

I was about 2-3/4 out to start with. I went 1/4 turn each run, out to 3-1/2. Helped a bit but it's still there so i will up the pilot. Thanks for the input fellas.

Honestly i probably would have left it go but i don't know what it is with this Dasa...but the backfire pops are REALLY loud. Louder than it was on my Sparks even...and a sparks is loud, lol. Other than that, Dasa makes a nice pipe. The full "slip-on" desoghn is awesome, no clamps or bolts to come loose or break and in my opinion, the growl is perfect, not too loud like a HMF or anything, it's just perfect.

Someone asked main jet size...i dont remember exactly, i think a 185 or 190. I know when i put the next size up in the carb, it wouldn't wind out fully.

also make sure everything is sealed up and you used a new exhaust gasket. If the intake/carb/exhaust has an air leak it will cause it to do this.

I know the carb side is good. I used a new gasket and i havent double checked that but i will. Thanks.
