450 r question

Lookin for quick answer its about 450 r honda. Does it use wet vlutch oil? And what weight is recomended for temps around 70 outside

Im fairly sure me and Marc (CJM) use Rotella 15-40 in both sides of our 450s and we've never had a problem with them. Honda wants you to use their special engine oil in it but its just the same type of oil in a fancy bottle. Im also pretty sure you can use the normal Honda 10-40 in both sides aswell, but dont quote me on that. Im not an expert with the 450s yet.

I replied to your other thread in the 450r forum, but yeah I use the Honda 10-40 and always have in both my 450r's, my 04 was ridden every day for 90 days straight during my summer one year for about 10 hours a day, you can do that math, and I owned it for two years. Never had to rebuild, never even broke down on me. So trust me, you can't go wrong running it.
