Has anyone ever had problems powder coating their stock a-arms? There must be some type of plastic in the ball joint. We powder coated them and it looks as if something rubbery or plastic leaked out around the joint. It's not grease, because grease doesn't get hard and bunch up like this. We took the rubber boots off. Just wondering if there is another rubber seal inside the ball joint. It's ruined it looks and feels like.

Yes, there is a plastic liner in the ball joint. Stock arms are not able to be PC'd because it will melt the plastic. I'm sorry to say, but I think your arms are shot.

Yeah that's what we figured. Bummer. It looked so good too. We did the top right side and it didn't mess up whatsoever.

These are replacements for stock arms. Cut the old off and slide these in. All you need is the nuts.

Just got done doing this. Cut them off and weld new ones on.

Where would I cut them at hondaREX? I was told they were not replaceable or fixable.

Pretty sure they come with instructions. But you can search youtube, i believe GT Thunder has a how to on there kit but the ebay set is a little different i believe. I personally wouldnt weld them so that i could adjust accordingly and just nut them tight. I have not done this myself, but i plan to when my ball joints are junk.

Looks as if it is a pretty simple job. I don't want to buy this kit and then it mess up shortly down the road. What would you do in this situation?

They would need to be the same size as the stock BJ's right?
