So, I'm sure its been done before, but I I was just wondering if anyone has taken the steering stem and cut it about in the middle and in half and welded like a sleeve around the two halves that extended it an inch or two? If anyone has any pictures or good ideas for this or a link to an old thread or something, feel free to post them on here, thanks. I just don't want to spend the 200 bucks for a good stem right now, and thought this might work just as good.
