hey guys,
I took my wheeler apart and my wrist pin has some scuffs on it because it got ran with no oil. now my question is the namura wrist pin is alittle shorter than the stock wrist pin now can i shortin up the stock wrist pin will this be ok to use the stock one or will it throw off the balance. I can't get just the wrist pin for the namura piston.

You galled the hard steel wrist pin but not the soft aluminum piston?

Sounds like you don't need to worry about shortening the wrist pin because a new piston comes with one...

I don't need a new piston i didn't hurt the piston at all and i got new rings for it. its the wrist pin thats galled its not bad but I don't know if it would hurt putting that wrist pin back in. that why i was asking about shorting the stock one

What part of the wristpin is damaged. I'm gonna say it's basically impossible to damage the wristpin and not the piston at the same time.

its right were the rod rides on the pin. come on guys I know what a bad piston looks like the piston is not bad it almost looks as good as the day i put it in. it messed up the cylinder and rings not the piston but now. can i shorting the stock pin and be ok?

Your sure the rod hole isnt messed up? Kinda hard to just gall up a hardened steel wrist pin and not the piston.

But yea its probably unique to namura, just give them a call and they will send you another one.

btw, namura pistons are junk-didnt i tell you that before???

NO. Dont do it the stupid way, buy a new one from namura or buy an entire piston.

if its not that bad try just sanding the ruff edges down and use the old pin

Why do people come on here. Ask for advice, then do it their way anyways?? Makes zero sense..
