Help With Ltz 50

Tyler started his sister's 2006 LTZ 50 and rode for a little while then came in the house and said it just bogged out & won't start. He had the choke on when he was riding but it did not foul the plug. I put in a new plug just to check and there was no spark . SO DUMB DAD DECIDES HE IS GOING TO START IT BY HOOKING UP THE CHARGER & THE CDI UNDER THE SEAT MADE A POP AND STARTED SMOKING. So where to go from here, what parts do I definitely need to replace and any ideas why it may have lost spark to start with? i THINK i NEED A cdI & COIL IF ANYONE HAS ONE FOR SALE.

riding around with the choke on and it just bogs and wont start . I hope he didn't burn the piston up . I would do a compression test

Hey Tommy i hope not too. Wouldn't the motor still get spark if the compression was low & just not start?

THANKS TO BRYSN I HAVE A CDI COMING NEXT WEEK. I'LL PUT THAT ON THEN TRY IT OUT...........JEFF
