Hello all, Frist time poster here.

I recently ordered the Armadillo (Out-N-Bak Rack) from www.rockymountainatv.com im sure some of you know what im talking about. Anywho, i opened the package only to find that the out n back rack was for a 300ex and ive got a 2002 400ex. So i put it on my buddies 300ex.

I would like to know if anyof you all have installed this rack on a 400ex. I was also wondering if you needed to drill extra holes through the frame to mount this thing. If any of you all have pictures on an installed out in bac rack on a 400ex it would be great if you could attatch it.

thanks all,

Bill

I know wanting a picture of this on a 400ex might seem strang b/c i see it on a 300. but i want to make sure it fits as nicely as on the 300. ive seen a picture where it sticks out about 4 inches. and i just want to verify that this is not the case.

thanks

you know what guys, i think it will stick out b/c the grab bar isnt designed on a 400 like it is on the 300. on the 300, you can just un bolt it and replace it w/ the out n bac pac. but the 400ex, i dont see where to unbolt it. hummmm

thanks man, i knew someone would respond. i thought i was talking to my self for a while. Is it possible to get a top view of it like the 300 i took. if not thats ok, i really like the idea of the rack.

Do you take it off and on or do you leave it on all the time?

thanks for the post and the welcome message.

well, after my friend wrecked his 300, the whole lighting apparatus and handel bars were messed up. I dont have anything left up there to bolt on , and the brackes for the lights are wider than the handel bars, so its either underneath. or on the plastic on top. I plan to reinforce the the plastic under then lights. if i go this route for my friend.

that lil oil problem on the 300 is easy to fix, take the valve cover off the take that cap thing out and put some silicone sealant on it and the problem is over.:p
