 this one's kinda stupid, sorry, but i don't see a way to tighten the chain on my 300ex, i've only had it a month or so, so i'm still pretty "green" at workin on it, I'll come around though.
Thanks for any help

Its simple ...I didn't know how to do it either..lol

1. Look at the rearend and loosen the two allen head bolts so that the axle carrier is loose.

2. take a screwdriver or the allen and put in one of the 3 notches in the carrier and turn downward. BE CAREFUL!! DO NOT pry hard if you got the stock carrier or you will bust it and regret it cuz new ones are like $150.

3. once you tighten the chain tighten the two allen srews back down and ur finished!

Don't tighten the chain to tight where you can play a tune of it :D
There suppose to be some play in the chain, like 1" or so when you move the chain up and down. An over tighten chain will cost you in the end!;)

yea just like everyone else is saying.. dont tighten the chain up all the way when you are off the bike.. when you sit down, it is suppose to adjust the tention.. u better do the chain adjustment screws right or if u land wrong u will crack a swing arm..u better tighten up on the bolts evenly and then back off some.. peace
