hey i recently blew my rear shock, by that i mean i blew my seals so fluid went everywhere. now the rear end is like a poga stick. so does anyone know how involved rebuilding the rear shock is. or would i just be better off buying a used one off ebay for bout 40. i plan on racing xc this year that being said are there any other suggestios you may have. racetech and works suspension both charge 200 plus for a rebuild, and i dont have the money for a new shock. any help is appreciated.

To have my shock rebuilt the local shop wanted $100. I had my rear shock done by TCS they valved it and made it SSD for I think $450. Shock turned out nice.

Or check out the for sale adds here they sell 400ex mx shocks cheep. Or stock 400ex rear shocks sell for around $50.

rebuilding a shock isnt that hard, just take it apart, let all the nitrogen out, put new seals in it, put oil in it, and put nitrogen in it, an mx shop will usualy have nitrogen.
