Has anybody ever tried 14/36 gearing with 18" tires. I race MX and ride some trails. So which would be better, the 14/36 or the 15/36?

With a stock motor I would stick with stock gearing with 18 inch tires. I had a 416 with JE 10.8-1 piston and TC racing cam and I had to put 16/38 due to the tire spining with 18 inch tires but ran great with 20 inch tires. I hope that helps you.

15-36, 14-32ish, or 16-38, there are a few combos that will work well, i would make it so the rear sproket is smaller than stock, that way you will have a tad more GC

I run 15/36 with 18inch tires. 15/36 is the same as 16/38 except with the 16t front sprocket you cant run a case saver.

Ok thanks, I will probaly order a 36t sprocket sometime soon then.
