Discarding fan?

I've been looking at the $80-$90 40mm radiator on eBay and wondering if I could remove the fan with more radiator? I've seen a few with this done. They were on mx tracks. Mine is more for all around riding. Good or bad idea?

I don't have a fan on my stock radiator with no issues... I ride a little of everything. I shut it off when sitting still just in case but the fans don't usually turn on that often on these bikes anyhow... Plus the CRF doesn't have a fan..

I have an 06 if it matters... not sating its a good or bad idea, just what I'm experiencing.

No fans on any of my bikes. Ones with extensive engine work I run a larger radiator.

I have a fluidyne on mine with mild engine work and no problems. Biggest thing is to keep moving in my opinion and shut it off when stopped.
