Finally started assembling the Laeger Narrow no-link chassis I picked up awhile ago. Weather finally got nice enough. I really liked the color scheme it had when I got it so i decided to do a red/white/blue color scheme with white laker plastics. I picked up some Roll a-arms local to me and the blue on them is close enough for now.

GThunder has the PC2000 275PV cylinder I had laying around. It was originally setup for extreme midrange MX style power, which would have a huge midrange hit not ideal for XC riding. So Laz will be doing a little further porting to it, and changing the port timings. He is also milling the dome to change the squish, the dome was pretty nicked up anyways. Also getting the cylinder re-nikasiled. Side covers are out for powdercoating. New long-rod crank, bearings, and a few other odds and ends for the motor. I'm excited to see how it runs.

Gonna get a set of HLS Elite shocks for the front. Can't beat $900 for excellent shocks, that also includes all re-valving and setup for your weight and riding type. Running a PEP ZPS in the rear.

I hope im not too wide up front, but we shall see. With the 400ex shocks it about 48 inches.

450r rear brake setup works great. You will need the following to convert...

450r rear brake disc hub
450r rear brake disc (450r has 3 bolt holes, 250r has 4)
450r caliper stay (i believe all years 450r will work)
250r locknut ( i dont think 450r will work but not 100%
450r caliper of course
Also you will need to put washers in between caliper and caliper stay for spacers. Keeps the disc from rubbing unevenly on the pads.

Awesome frame. I'm diggin' that adjustable rear shock mount. Thats the first one of those I've ever seen. You'll be fine at 48. 46 or 47 would be better but it all depends on your local xc tracks. Seems like the XC tracks are wider now then they were 10 years ago. IMO, use a 250R rear caliper. Dual pistons are way cooler :D Sounds like you're gunna have a blast with the new motor. Iv'e met Laz a few times, we've pitted next to Laz and GTThunder at a few 12-hour races. For those that don't know, Laz is currently building an XC 250r over at q u a d z o n e

Nice build, i have one of those rear shock rezzy clamps and it doesnt line up with the grab bar mounting holes in my laeger frame, did you have to grind a little to get it to fit?

Great looking build. What's the story on the skidplate?

The 450r caliper is a dual-piston like the 250r. I have seen the 250r Laz is working on and it's gonna be a pretty nice machine. Jeff Pickens is gonna run some races on it I believe.

I had to round out the holes on the rear shock rezzie mount. My god was that a pain in the ***.

The skid plate is just some plastic, not sure where from. GThunder sells blank poly skid plates for the 450r. With a little trimming they fit very good
