i have a 2001 300ex...theres a loud tick coming from the head...i've adjusted the valves over and over and it still ticks...anyone got any ideas on what it could be..it has hardened rocker arms and a webcam..the cam is word a lil..thought it might be that but i dont know? anyone elses head tick? help me out

If you still use the automatic de-compression setup it's probly that.

possibly the cam chain..i know my 400ex knocks like no tommorow..

It's an assembly on the end of the cam that lets the exhuast valves open SLIGHTLY at very low RPM's to bleed off some compression so it's easier to start. As they get older sometimes the get loose and start making noise.

that could be it...my cam does have sum wear to it..i plan on replacing it soon anyways
