Well, I have put some serious time on the old CRF, and like any war horse it deserves some TLC. Everything is out to PC right now. Cases on the motor are split. Just waiting on some last minute Honda parts to build the motor. New white maier plastic ready to rock. Im thinking Silver-Red-Blue this time around. I will post pics as I have new stuff rolling in, and as I get things together. Any special requests?

Anyone tried these oil filter caps? This one doesnt go in all the way, it like the back part needs machined down a 1/16". If you feel inside the cover there is a tiny lip or edge (it goes all the way around, made that way) that was machined in there after the piece was made by honda, The back of the cap is extended and its hitting that, maybe later years dont have this?? Just guessing, because the cap is for all years crf 450, supposedly......

Just FYI, new cylinder and piston, timing chain, valves didnt move, so they stay in there, crank has two seasons, replaced all dog gears, shifts forks, and a tranny bearing, clutch, water pump, all seals, etc etc. The tranny was brand new two seasons ago. Freshly pc'd covers. This motor should be decent.

I bought one of those for my CRF motor also. My friend is putting my motor together so I haven't tried mine yet. My bottom end is an 05-06. What years is yours?

I havent ridden it yet, Im sure I will have to get used to it being longer. I always had trouble bumping the stock bike shifter, way too short. Hopefully this will work out.

Lol sorry not tryin too...but yea check to make sure guess it depends on the angle ya put on the shifter! I like mine at an upward angle so I can get my boot under it easier! That's reason why it hits on mine

I do custom graphics. I have a full rear fender template for the 250R's.

Brian Wood (Woody 329) finished the design, I started it in illustrator, then I had Ryan McCoy with Ripped Vinyl print them up. Ryan is more than capable of designing a set like this. He has those templates from me. Look him up on FB, just search Ripped Vinyl. Tell him Jeremy from BC sent ya.

Quad runs good, I was a bit surprised at how well it ran. Still a little off on steering, I need to re check my caster and/or roll the bars back. Of course everything is new and stiff, so each ride it got better as things started to loosen up. I will get it dialed in.

It definitely feels more like my old 250r, just a click off right now. Its all in the front end setup somewhere, I will find it.
