Ive been looking for a tach and this one seems reasonably priced compared to a lot of others. Can anyone recoment anything else?

That is the exact one i have on my 300. It works great.
Once i got the right instructions installation was easy.
I bought it when they fisrt came out with it. The way
they said to install it did not work. Once i got the new
set that they send now it was easy.

will it be too slow for a sport quad?

I was thinking the same thing after seeing the site the first time. I really doubt it will show 'real time" revs such as a street bike tach but may have a slight lag behind actual revs. Either way; it SHOULD show actual revs when the throttle is held in same position. I do plan to get one but see no use for it unless you drag race and want to leave the line and shift at a specific rpm. (as I run 1/8 mile asphalt)

There is a guy over on bluetrax.com that has this tach on his raptor. He says it only lags when you rev the motor with no load on it, such as reving it in neutral. He said when it does lag its very little. Just wondering if anyone here had any firsthand experiance with it.

It is real time. The tack from highlifter is designed for a quad.
It is not a modifided tack from something else.
As u hit the gas u can wacth it throtle up.

hey, someone post the picture from the website. Do a alt-print screen and post the info. That website is blocked here at work and I can't view it.
