Any one running 21" rears for GNCC/Hare scrambles?

21 or 22s would be the ideal tire for harescrambles or gncc.

I once went to a local arena track that was settup with obsticles like you would find in the woods. Logs, rocks, hills, stump sections...etc.

The winner, rode a 400ex with 22in rears tires.

He went over every obsticle like it was nothing, all the 450s with 18s and 20s got stuck and hung up or rode slow.

He kept right on going with his little 400ex.

If your race has alot of technical sections, you might benefit more from bigger tires then you would from motor mods or suspension.

Bigger tires and shorter width will win many harescrambles if you know whats involved in the race ahead of time.

I agree with JohnDoe on the bigger tires in the rear but I still run 20 rears and 21 fronts for gncc. Bill Balance always has ran that set up. JMO Its all what you prefer or what youre used to.

23 inch fronts and 22 inch rears for xc racing. I'm old and hate getting stuck ! Plus if you run a skid plate on the rear this set up gives a little more ground clearance.
