I am needing a thumb throttle ***. for my 6 year olds DRR. What do you recommend getting that will be easy for him to push on a 50cc Malossi MHR motor, for XC & MX racing, for hours

Call Gary at G-force n get a threaded style throttle n cable. Cut the spring in the carb and adjust the throttle cable do it is in just the right spot(not to far back n not to far foward). With my kids sometimes I will make adj. They say they hate n have them.fire on it for a while n see if they like it it not. Line never like it at first. Just my .02cents

I have always used dinli throttle. They are very soft and easy for younger riders to push. But yes also call Gary or Mike at G-Force!!

Honda 90 thumb throttle, 200x or apex throttle cable, and clip the slide spring. This throttle cable requires removing oil injection. The oil injection uses a double cable, which it one reason it is so hard to pull.

I wondered about a Honda 90 throttle, I wondered how they compared to the DRR throttle as for the size area. I don't want his thumb out to far or in tofar either when getting wot. I already to the oil injector off. It's just a single cable pull. He is just a little guy so the easyer the better.

The 90 throttle has the best leverage and is pretty small. To really make it easy, clip the slide spring. Take a few rings off and try it. If not enough, keep taking a little off at a time. I cut all of our slide springs. If your cable is good and routed smoothly, you can take a lot off the spring.
