Got that magazine......4 yrs of dreaming an I made my KTM hybrid using the same 520 motor. That 2002 520 motor is the best ever motor out there IMHO, smooth, fast, dependable...got 6 yrs on mine an its stronger than ever. 6 speed it will scream on top end....never seems to sign off.

LOL...ya you didn't need to but cool that you did for the KTM guys to see where it all began....to bad KTM was SOOOOOOO freaking slow to get in it...way late...in 2002 Rath showed them the light, but that sat too long...in 2 yrs if they had came out with a version, they would of made the bucks with the Honda and yamaha 450's.....now I hear KTM sold out in 2010 and their great quality has gone down hill with the new owners...sad.

They sold out to new owners.....still KTM. Old school owner was about quality....now its about sacrificing quality for profits for new share holders.

In November 2007, Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto acquired 14.5% stake in KTM Power Sports AG (parent company of KTM Sportmotorcycles AG). The two companies have signed a cooperation deal, by which KTM will provide the know-how for joint development of the water-cooled 4-stroke 125 cc and 250 cc engines, and Bajaj will take over the distribution of KTM products in India and some other Southeast Asian nations. In December 2007, Bajaj increased their stake to more than 20%. Bajaj increased its share to 38.09% in November 2010.[5] As of March 2012 Bajaj Auto holds a 47% stake.[6][7]

The Swedish motorcycle company Husaberg AB and Dutch WP Suspension are now subsidiaries of the KTM Group.

I might still have that magazine somethere lol
Interesting, Husaberg made some quads sadley not many made it to USA

I have a ktm xc but with back then wished they would have came out with a 300 2 stroke alsothen you would have a choice. The 520 & the 300 are both real good motors IMO.
