400ex vs 250r dirtwheels

does anybody have that issue from late 98 or early 99? if so can you scan it so we can all enjoy a nostalgic shootout? i have a ton of dirtwheels, but somehow i dont have this one

either scan or take good pics of the pages, ive done that myself

I can do that, although if there are alot of words for some reason I can't get it to ever upload......still don't know anything about a scanner.....is that something the TSA has that I can borrow....?

i dont know what you mean by if it has a lot of words you cant upload them? i dont think words make a difference since its a picture?

awesome thanks! i was hoping they'd get moree into the handling comparison too, but even today the 400ex is still reguarded as one of the best handling quads ever made. i also have TONS of old articles if u can think of any i'll make another thread. i have every dirtwheels from july 99 to mpresent and tons from the 80s on up. i have every atv action from 99 or 2000 to sometime in 06 and some in between as well. i have other quad mags too, but atv action and dirt wheels are tops. i have the atv action issue (jan 2000) with the 400ex vs 25r vs ds650 vs banshee one of my favorites

Sometime look up dirtwheels May 2002, an if you have ATV Sport June 2002......the front covers and stories inspired me to dream and build my KTM Quad in 2006. Got alot of good ideals and tips from the pics. and articles. Quad is still running stong. And its the same 520 engine they used.

edit: if i have the atv sport its in a tub under a bunch of other things, all my dirt wheels are readily available because i read them a lot more. im posting the article in the ktm section now

I remember reading that magazine. I was in high school and had an 86 250r at that time. I even drew one of those pictures in my high school art class a couple times. I remember the first time I saw one at the dunes and raced one up sand mountain.

Makes me wonder what happened to all my magazines. I even had my picture in the dirtwheels a couple of times, my parents must have thrown out all my magazines when I was in college. I can't even find the ones I was in.

I've still got that mag. DW didn't even have their hands on a 400 at that time, they had gotten their info from 2 testers that had one. It was a very nostalgic mag and I took it out to give it a look over the other day. All the cool things they had for 250R's and Banshees in there, how much cheaper tires were back in those days, how hyped everyone was for the new 400EX.

I will try and take pics and upload them as I don't have a scanner.
