Looking for more throttle response

Whats up guys and gals.
Ive been riding my 04' 400 for a couple years now and im wanting more throttle response. ive heard about removing the choke and changing jets but I was wondering of there was any other way to go about getting more throttle response.
Any suggestions would be much apprechated.

i did the choke removal and can tell a big difference in throttle response

Can also swap over to a 450 carb.

How much trouble is it to take out the choke

Sparks timing advance key will help with throttle response.

Drop 1 tooth in front. $10

Remove air box lid or air box.

Better air filter.

Exhaust.

Timing key. $20

XR400 cam $40

Non o ring chain and lighter sprockets can add actually around 1hp which is odd.

450r carb.

Remove choke on 400ex. Look it up many threads and I think this place has a page that shows how with pics.

Don't forget to have a jet kit it's mandatory to re jet when doing any mod to increase power.
