Question about cylinder?

i have a 1986 250r, and where the pipe connects to the cylinder next on the exaust flange there is alittle oil coming out, and when i first start it some smoe leaks out of there......is that normal or does it require a gasket or something there?

Many two strokes do it, and it is pretty normal, but you can get a seal gasket or phlange(don't know what ont he R) and it'll usually stop leaking.

Disassemble the joint and clean the flange and pipe then seal it with high temp silicone, let the silicone set up before you run it.

Between the flange and cylinder there should be a gasket. On the flange itself there should be a metal oring. If your pipe easily slides on and off then the ring is worn. They are both cheap gaskets.

yea, thanks alot, im just rodering a new flange and the gaskets, becasue it slide on realy easily
