Needs some help here,not even sure where to start.2002 300ex I bought used.Has powercore4 slip on and some kind of aftermarket headpipe,k&n filter,holes drilled in airbox,prolly about 3/8 inch and about 25 of them.Im not sure about piston bore.I belive its untouched but who knows.
Well I picked up a used Mikuni tm34 which was redone by Curtis Sparks and was said to be off a 300ex as well.It fit right on yadda yadda,but turns spark plug black within a minute.Lots of popping,wheezing going on.
Ive never played with jetting before,and all I can read is the 280 on the main jet which is what tm34 comes with stock.Im assuming Ive got to jet this carb down,but not sure where to start.All the searching I do,nothing for 300ex with this carb.
Also Im in Connecticut,elevation ranging from 500 ft up.But I ride in Mass etc
