Just curious if anybody know what kind of thumb throttle would work on an 01 yz125 2 stroke? Kinda random but I got the bike for almost nothing and need to make it quad rider approved lol

See my answer in that thread. The same would apply if you had a 38 carb.

Stick with the twist, once you get used to it, you will change over your quad, they are way easier to use.

Just have to ride with a twisty long enough to get used to it. It takes a few crap your pants moments when you come off of a jump or bump and smack it wide open to figure it out. I don't get arm pump since I can hold on with my full hand and can ride all day/weekend/week without my thumb ever wanting to fall off. I think there are some advantages to using the thumb throttle but I still will always have a twisty in there.

It is a "FACT" that twist throttle is better then thumb, for hand grip on the bars and control.

It is a personal preference to use one or the other.

I suffer from a ATV related hand injury, I have to use twist throttles from now on so I can grip the bars firmly.
