trx450r gas tank cover question, please help!!

i have a 05 trx450r, i wanna put a 08 gas tank cover on my 05. I see the tanks are different and was wondering how hard it would be to modify it to fit on my 05 gas tank

It will fit but it wont line up all to well. If you want perfection you need the newer tank.

Not really, it just doesnt look 100% quite right.

What is nice is you can put the gfx on the cover and it wont come off like the stock tank.

Betcha if you go over to 450r.org you can score a used tank+cover for less than 200 bucks.

you can get a new cover from honda for a 2008 tank for $50.00
