valve adjustment?

My buddys 2007 400ex has never had valves adjusted how much power could he be losing due to this?

Some, but probably not much. it will run 100x better if you adjust them tho.

Hes had ot since new and rides alotand never done a valve adjustment

Wonder how out of adjustment they are.

Honestly I checked mine about 3 months ago and hadnt checked it for eons before that. I think maybe 1 was ever so slightly off. Course it had a topend this past spring.

I've checked my valves quite a few times and more often then not I did not need to adjust them. He could be loosing a good bit of power and economy since it wouldn't be running right.
