gearing

were going to try a set of high speed gears in our drr 90 with a built malossi engine and a 100 # rider.i was wondering what some of you guys were running for sprockets with this combo.we run outdoor mx only on med. to large tracks.any suggestions ??? thanks guys

19/32 or 19/33
19/30 was to high
19/35 was to low
We run small indoor tracks and smaller outdoor with the longest wide open stright at most tracks 50 to 75 yards.

we allways ran 19.30 or 19 ,29 we had long travel swing arm allso if we went with bigger or smaller gearing the chain would rub something . plus that was a good gearing for us he would get a lot of hole shots and good recovery from jumps and coming out of a turn ,and he was around 100 lbs . and the motor had enough horse to pull him around. plus keep your variator clean i would clean it after every run if i didnt it would stick a little and you would lose a little bit of power and you will get longer life for your belts and springs

with our 11/31 gears we ran a 19/28 combo with a long travel swingarm and it worked well for top end and wasn't too bad out of the corners but not sure about the new combo.trial and error i guess !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

we always stayed with same gearing tracks change threw out the day , seems like every track we go to on second moto they have to drown the track with water and with the dirt bikes making ruts, sometimes i think they do it on purpose because there cvts

do you really think the tracks don't like quads ???? lol. i really appreciate the suggestions.i'll have to check but i think we have a 29,32 and 33 rears as well as our 28.one more thing,did you guys have 2 chains or did 1 chain fit sprockets close in siize.

if you go from a 28 to 33 you will need 2 diferant size chains , check out pit posse they have good prices on rk chains and spy tear offs plus they give out a lot of sponserships, they where the best sponser we had
