Im starting a new thread on the dominator axles.

What is the difference between he dominator 1 and 2 axles?

Also what is the difference in the race and standard hubs?

I called RPM and asked what was the difference between 1 and 2. I was told the Dominator 2 is made of stronger materials. No clue on the hubs.

The race hub is thicker than the standard hub.

So the question is the race hub worth it?

I've cracked one of their std hubs where the sprocket bolts are. I've only had the original dominators, never had a issue other then the hub. I now have a Dominator XC axle.. It's beefy

I have a lonestar axle and replaced the hub with a standard RPM hub. The standard hub looks to be stronger than the original lonestar hub in my opinion. I use the standard hub and race motocross with it and havnt had a problem yet, but im only running a 265 cylinder.

Yes, I would like to comment on this if I may. Yes the new Dominator 2 axles are made of stronger materials and yes the race hubs are thicker per say. I also own a 04 450r and I have the Dominator 2 axle, but i actually run the standard RPM hub, when i was at ECATV, i looked at standard hub next to race hub, and the standard hub actually looked a tad bit thicker and stronger. But, this may just be for this yr quad, and not all other makes and models, so im not a 100% sure on that. The standard hub was a little cheaper in price as well. IMO, just compare the standard and race hubs together, but in most part the race hub is suppose to be thicker and yet stronger. Hope this helps.

I run the std hub on my Puma and my sons 450r with no issues.
