View Full Version : Anyone ever replace swingarm carrier bolts?

Just wondering if anyones ever replaced the 4 allen bolts in the swingarm with something to doesn't strip so easily.. the stock bolts tend to get rounded out pretty easily and it seems like regular bolts would work a lot better
I never had an issue. Clean them out with dirt and use a 6mm allen key and all will be well.

yes I replaced my bolts with some grade 8 metrics from lowes and homedepot.
It makes it easier for me to adjust the carrier and loosen the nuts with a socket instead of the allen key's.

i did the same thing on my 400, it's so much easier with a socket now. I did have an allen socket, but it still didnt' bit like the hex head does. I'm not sure what grade i got, but it was a great improvement when it came time to adjust.
