I have heard of some pros taking a scrambler 500 and punching out to 628cc's to use for cross country. I was wondering if anybody else has heard/seen this. How fast would it be compared to the new predator. By fast I mean horsepower. Any ideas?

Ive seen that it was done with a 400. It was in a recent mag. Maybe last months ATV Sport??:confused:

I have a 400 sport that i race XC. For speed and power, it is awesome. For hill climbing it is great. With that 1 lever braking. It slows it down in a hurry without locking up any tires. but they are wide and heavy. If you can keep them between the trees you'll do fine. but the a arms are weak. I've replaced them and the rods inside them plenty of times. If you could put that package in a smaller bike you'd have an ultimate xc machine
