Gearing will play a role regardless of the cam.. That duration is comparable to the stg 3 hot cam.

I disagree a cam is gonna work in a certain rpm range.Regardless of the gear you use. Gearing is just gonna get the cam in the rite rpm range.

Stage 3 is designed to be used with a stroker motor, however there is a few members here using them with good results.

I personally have a stage 2 in my 440, I got a big bore kit then a valve job, then a stage 2 cam.

The 440 and valves helped ALL AROUND power and speed, the stage 2 cam helped move that power to the upper rpm range.

My friend had a yfz450, we drag raced and MX raced all the time, we were exactly the same until the last bit of 5th gear then he would pull away, after the stage 2 cam we were dead even all the time.

Were talking a 2001 440ex with stock suspension against a modern day liquid cooled race ready 4 stroke 450 with updated suspension and the 440ex was his hardest challenge on the strip and MX track.

He was piped, carb'd and cam'd also, not a noob to racing either, he won many kart championship's and was a regular MX racer since he was a kid.

Whatever, this thread was already slightly off topic:rolleyes:
